PRIVACY NOTICE INTRODUCTION
As a valued customer, we want to assure that your private information is kept private and only shared with those companies who are allowed or required by law. This link explains
our privacy policy, explains the reasons why we obtain certain types of information, and advises you that we reserve the right to share information with non-affiliated third parties
as allowed by law. Please take a moment to read this entire policy as you will be asked to acknowledge your receipt of this Policy.
COLLECTION OF INFORMATION
The purchase of a vehicle or vehicle related parts and services requires considerable accumulation of nonpublic personal information. For example, if we sell or lease you a
vehicle – extending credit at your request -- we will receive information from you in order to assist you with financing options. We may also obtain information from a credit
reporting agency. We may also obtain information from third parties such as employers, references, and insurance companies.
Some of the information we obtain from you may be required by state or federal agencies, such as the Department of Motor Vehicles or the Internal Revenue Service. Examples would
include your driver’s license or social security number.
PROTECTING YOUR INFORMATION
We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to those employees and outside third party entities who need to know information to provide the products or
services you have requested as well as for other purposes.
We prohibit our employees and agents from giving information about you to anyone in a manner that would violate any applicable law or our Privacy Policy.
INFORMATION SHARING
While you are a consumer, customer, or former customer we may disclose nonpublic personal information as follows:
1. as permitted by federal or state law;
2. for purposes of processing a sale or lease transaction as you authorize and request, such as submitting information to third party financial institutions that may be
requested to take an assignment of the contract or lease or to verify insurance coverages.
3. When using outside service providers to help us provide you with products and services to assist us in evaluating our services and products provided to you. Before
providing information to our service providers we enter into a contractual agreement prohibiting them from disclosing or using the information other than for the purpose it was
disclosed.
4. With “affiliated” companies. These are entities that are affiliated with us and include any entity that controls us or any entity that we control or any entity under
common control with us.
5. To entities where certain exceptions under law apply and nonpublic personal information may be disclosed without notice to you or an election to “opt out”. Any opt out
provision elected by you does not apply to any disclosure that does not, by law, require an option to opt-out or where an exception to the opt out provision is provided by law.
6. We may also disclose, while you are a consumer, customer, or former customer, any information we collect about you to companies that perform marketing services or other
functions on our behalf or to other financial institutions with which we have joint marketing agreements. This disclosure is permitted by law and there is no opt out opportunity
available.
NON-AFFILIATED THIRD PARTY SHARING
We will not disclose nonpublic personal information about you to nonaffiliated third parties (other than those permitted by law or otherwise permitted by this policy).
